The advisory board for gaming monies met on May 7, 2018. Jason Warfel recapped the requirements for receiving funds from the gaming monies and stated that the budgeted amount for this year is $7,000. The gaming monies are not taxpayer dollars.
The committee received 16 applications for funds. The total amount of funds requested totaled $35,765.40 and it was pointed out that some of the applications stated “any” in the amount section.
The committee will meet again in January, 2019.
The following applicants were chosen for a total of $6,600 dispersed:

Jasper County Jr. High, Update Books for “Reading Rocks” (Community-School) Program, $300
Jasper County Agricultural Association, New 4H Show Ring & Livestock Building-Fairgrounds, $500
Lincoln’s Place Fund, Equipment, Fencing, Flooring and Concrete Work for Inclusive Playground, $500
Jasper County Bands, Purchase New Baritones for Jasper County Jr. High & High School Bands, $500
